As a professional editor for almost three decades, I can help you prepare your material for production. I provide editorial services for people and businesses in various industries. I specialize in two areas: education materials, such as professional development, white papers, and K-12 standards-based assessments; and board games, from sell sheets to game components and rule books.

I can provide a developmental edit, a regular copyedit, or a production edit of any material that contains text. My fee is $30-40/hour. I provide a time estimate before beginning the project, which gives you the metrics you need for budgeting. If a project takes longer than I estimate, that time is on me - no charge to you. 

 

I can edit/proofread text documents using Microsoft Word (tracking changes), PDFs using Adobe Acrobat (using annotations and drawing tools), or printed and hand-marked (then rescanned). You see all the changes or recommendations and apply or accept the changes.​

Also, I offer a FREE full proofread to game designers of your rule book or sell sheet. In a proofread, I check your material for capitalization, spelling, punctuation, syntax, cross references, mechanical elements (e.g., page numbers), and other fatal flaws. This is not a copyedit or developmental editing; however, if I notice something obvious, I will comment to bring it to your attention.  This is my way of giving back to the tabletop game community.  Upon request, I will add you to my proofreading queue and give you an approximate completion date. As a free service, my timelines may get altered due to life events or paid projects of higher priority, but my integrity and professionalism is important to me.
